Candidates seek seats in San Diego County community college districts

More than 20 candidates sought board seats in San Diego County’s five community college districts. Here’s how things stood Tuesday night.

Trustee Area 3

Bartosz “Bartek” Murawski, small business owner, entrepreneur
Julie Schorr, public school teacher

Schorr held a commanding lead on Murawski.

Trustee Area 4

Elena Adams, governing board member, GCCCD
Jordan Gascon, board member, Pine Valley CPG

Adams was leading Gascon.

Trustee Area No. 3

Chris Chen, expert in community choice aggregation strategy
Jaqueline Simon, board member, educator

Simon held a commanding lead over Chen.

Trustee Area 5

George H. McNeil, member, MCCD board of trustees
Andrew James Reinicke, retired Army officer

McNeil held a commanding lead on Reinicke.

Trustee Area 2

Nina Deerfield, governing board member
Christian Garcia, high school teacher

Deerfield and Garcia were virtually tied.

Trustee Area 3

Roberto Rodriguez, public school teacher
David W. Vincent, adjust professor-entrepreneur

Rodriquez was slightly ahead of Vincent.

Trustee Area 4

Lee Dulgeroff, chief building executive
Evan Krausz, businessman
Brian E. Olson, businessman/veteran’s advocate
John Santhoff, business, technology entrepreneur

Olson had a significant lead on his competitors.

District B

Daniel Piedra, nonprofit legal director
Bernie Rhinerson, governing board member, SDCCD

Rhinerson had a commanding lead on Piedra.

District D

Mary Graham, government board member, SDCCD
Mike Palomba, student

Graham had a huge lead on Palomba.

Seat 3

Roberto C. Alcantar, governing board member, SCCD
William “Bud” McLeroy, firefighter, educator

Alcantar had a large lead on McLeroy.
