Canadian Visitors Immerse Themselves in the "Millennia of Chinese Characters" VR Experience
Having previously toured venues across Thailand and Paris, France, the VR installation has now arrived in Ottawa, Canada. Leveraging fully immersive digital technology, it traces the complete evolutionary timeline of Chinese characters, from their earliest origins through successive stages of stylistic development.
Harnessing digital light and projection effects, the experience vividly recreates the raw simplicity of oracle bone inscriptions, the refined elegance of bronze vessel epigraphy, and the fluid grace of brush calligraphy on silk and scrolls. Translating scholarly knowledge once confined to academic texts into a fully visual, sensory and interactive journey, the VR program lets visitors trace the unfolding of Chinese civilization firsthand. Guests gain a fresh, tangible understanding of China’s 5,000-year-old writing system, alongside deeper insight into Chinese civilization’s inclusive spirit and enduring contemporary vitality.
